Vaz Cycle Finishes is based in South-East London, offering a re-spray and repair service to frame-builders, Cycle shops and the public.
Vaz Finishes was established in 1985 by Mario Vaz, who has previously supervised the spray shop for the Holdsworth/Claud Butler Bicycle Company.
All frames arriving in the workshop for re-sprays are sandblasted before an initial rust-proofing coat is baked on. (Frames that require braze-ons or repairs are dealt with before blasting.) Frames are then coated with stove-enamel, two-pack (for carbon frames) or powder coated. Colours can be picked from in-house colour charts or can be mixed to pattern.
Transfers are placed on the frame, if required, before being coated with lacquer for a durable and glossy finish. A wide range of transfers are available from both period and modern selections or can be customised to your choice.
Campagnolo & Shimano headsets and bottom brackets can also be supplied and fitted at reasonable cost.
Re-sprays start from £50 for standard colours.
Turnaround for re-sprays is normally between one and two weeks and customers are more than welcome to view previous finished work as reference before bringing their own frames for re-spray.
For all re-spray or repair enquiries please contact Mario Vaz.
